Same Age

Same age, but what a difference in hair! Here's Adam at 6 weeks, and Lottie at 6 weeks. Similar looks, not so similar hair.

Dancing

Lottie and Adam look like they are dancing, but they are not! Lottie is working on her smile, and Adam is practicing walking in Dad's Army boots.

Smiles

Love Adam's crazy smile. That's the face he makes when you tell him to smile.

Lottie is getting very smiley!

Rolling

Lottie's first time rolling over. Her arm was a little under her chest to help, but she did a great job.

Bus!

Adam is obsessed with buses. This playground is next to the bus stop for the shuttle to Narita airport. Adam spotted the bus, and thought he would just take a two hour bus trip to the airport.

Fun at the Playground

Adam is really into bubbles. He can actually blow bubbles with his birthday gift from Morgan, instead of just putting bubble solution into his mouth with a normal wand.

Birthday Video

Thomas the Train music...very exciting!

Adam's Birthday Party

We had Adam's birthday party this Friday (training holiday, so the husbands had the day off). Adam is currently loving trains, so we had a train party! He started the day posing for some pictures with Lottie. Then he "helped" Daddy set up for the party by running around the backyard in his pajamas and no shoes.

Then Calum and Jesse showed up and the party began. Adam and Calum enjoy blowing bubbles. Mommy decorated Adam's new (to us) slide like Thomas the Train. Thomas's number is one - I wasn't confused about how old Adam is! Not yet anyway...

More bubble blowing. Jesse was too busy eating fruit to blow bubbles.

The boys helped make pizza. They did a pretty good job; the parents only had to spread out the toppings a little. The boys got to eat individual pizzas, but were already pretty full from the fruit.

Opening Adam's presents. Calum and Jesse helped with that, but Adam didn't seem to mind.

Daddy had to help blow out the candle again.

Adam's train ice cream cake (made with ice cream sandwiches). The commissary didn't get it's shipment of Carvel ice cream cakes, so we had to get a little more creative. It's supposed to be Thomas, but they don't have black icing!

Crazy Faces

Happy!

Disgusted!

Yay!

Lottie has also inherited Chris's Elvis lip snarl. She also wishes that Adam would stop identifying her nose. And her eyes. And her cheeks. And her chin.

New Slide

Adam lucked out and inherited an outdoor slide from our neighbors. He's been having a great time with it. He's even sharing with Jesse!

Community Fair

Camp Zama had a Community Fun Day on Saturday. It was really just a bunch of inflatable games and $2 for a hamburger, chips, and a drink. Adam had a fun time in the bouncy house.

Then he met up with Calum, and they had a great time running around.

Adam and Calum turning circles until they fall down. Who needs bouncy houses?

Calum is "watering" Adam with his water bottle. Good thing it's got a cap. Adam loves to be chased.

Posing

Birthday Cupcakes

Adam enjoyed eating birthday cupcakes that he specially decorated for Grandpa's birthday. He's getting to be a pro at eating birthday cake, with Grandma and Grandpa's birthday right before his.

More Time with Grandparents

Adam's Tricycle

Adam got a cool tricycle for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa put it together while Adam was sleeping, so Lottie got the first ride.

Adam was VERY excited when he saw his tricycle.

The tricycle has a handle to push Adam until he can figure out how to pedal.

But the most interesting thing about the tricycle is the bell!

Grandpa Hair

Grandpa "fixed" Adam's hair for him, just like he used to do for Andy.

Basketball

Grandpa taught Adam to hang on the rim, like a big basketball player. It was great fun!

Pictures with Daddy

Lottie is already perfecting her, "Dad, you're embarassing me" look.

Grandma Time

Lottie enjoying time with Grandma. She is spending more and more time awake, and is very alert.

New Sibling Pictures

Adam still loves holding Lottie. She seems to be okay with him holding her too.

Kamakura

Adam is now also deathly afraid of giant Buddhas.

Lottie is not afraid, just sleepy.

Baby crying photo op. Adam only joined the picture from the safety of his stroller when Mom got too far from the stroller for his liking.
