Holding Lottie

Adam entertaining Lottie (unsuccessfully) while she's being changed.

Adam doing his second favorite thing, holding Lottie.

Lottie has been much more alert this week. She's enjoying her bouncy seat.

Siblings

Adam is finally over his stomach bug, and gets to hold Lottie. Now if only I could get both of them to look at the camera at the same time.

Strong Genes?

It's hard to tell who is who. From top, it's Lottie, then Adam, then Jenna (their cousin). Chubby cheeks run in the family!

New Pictures

Here are some new Lottie pictures. Turns out, besides her strong sucking reflex (all five of the baby nurses in the OR with us wanted to stick their fingers into her mouth because it was so strong), she's just strong, period.

Lottie's first sponge bath. We just wanted to get the grease out of all that hair! She was practically asleep until we had to rinse the hair. Not amusing.

Adam has been a great big brother. He's very helpful. Notice he is still holding the washcloth that we gave him to help wash Lottie. He can't wait until Lottie gets bigger so she can play with him.

We made it home from the hospital. Here are some more pictures of the newest baby and the super excited daddy and big brother.

Baby Lottie Photos!

Here are some photos of ther newest addition to the family, baby Lottie! Adam is very happy with his new sister, and she is pretty happy too, as long as Mom is holding her.

Live Music

Adam just loved the country music band (from Colorado).

Atsugi Cherry Blossom Festival

Atsugi (Navy) had a cherry blossom festival on Sunday. So we decided to fill our weekend with cherry blossom festivals and headed out. Atsugi had its flight line open, and you could check out all the airplanes and helicopters. Adam was very excited. He didn't realize that these are the same planes that fly directly over our house and used to wake him up from naps, driving Mommy crazy. All the pilots were super nice, and posed for lots of pictures.

Cherry Blossom Video

Here is a video of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Notice all of the folks getting ready for the day under the trees and the nice Hawaiian music.

Cherry Blossom Festival

Today was the Cherry Blossom Festival here at Zama. It was open to the Japanese - they enjoy hanging out and eating (and drinking!) under the trees. Here are the early-comers at 7:45 AM, staking out the best spots. The festival started at 10:30 AM!

Adam enjoyed the music and all the people.

Adam and Mommy - in his new (to us) stroller. Adam can sit or stand in the back, while the new baby will sit in front.

Adam also got to eat a crepe. He was pretty sure it was ice cream. Either way, it was delicious.

Due Date

We finally have a date for Baby Lottie's arrival: April 14! That is, if she doesn't decide to come early. Right now, I'm 2 cm dilated, but last time, I stayed 3 cm dilated for 7 weeks. We'll keep you posted!
