Lounging

Adam loves to read his own books. Sometimes he even gets the words right!

Fridge

Guess who figured out (just today) how to open the fridge? So far, Adam has pulled out yogurt, soy milk, and juice. At least he can't open the front door by himself yet.

Helper

Adam is always interested in helping Mommy and Daddy with their chores. He has figured out how to feed the dog all by himself. Unfortunately, if you don't keep a close eye on him, he also slips himself a little dog food snack. Here, he's just feeding Nani though, and counting.

I love Japan

Another crazy Japanese sign. English signs in Japan almost never make any sense. This one was right in the housing area, but for the Japanese workers.

Toddler Time

Adam and Calum had a fun nighttime playdate so Calum's mom and dad could enjoy some non-toddler time. They had a great time playing at sleeping, eating some delicious dinner, and dancing to the Wiggles. Then they both went to bed at the same time (though not in the same bed, like Adam wanted) without much resistance. Amazing!

Things Nani Hates

Adam thought piling all the kitchen towels on Nani's back was really fun, but NANI HATE!

Ash Wednesday

Adam's first ashes from Ash Wednesday. Church was the perfect place to say:
Yay!
Somersault.
Hi, baby!
Over and over and over again. Especially when no one else was talking. This is why he goes to baby daycare when we go to Mass.

Guess what?

It's 9 PM on Saturday night, and it's snowing, AGAIN. Amy had to leave her Bunco game early too - it was coming down too hard and too fast. That's three big snows in three weeks. Who needs Kansas? We brought it with us!

Snow!

On Sunday morning, we woke up to our second snow storm in two weeks (after Chris had assured me that it almost NEVER snows in this part of Japan). It was very pretty at first, but the snow slid off the trees once it warmed up. Then it just got slushy. Adam and Jesse didn't seem to mind though. The next day, we found our old neighbor's very Japanese snowbear. Cute. Also, it's snowing AGAIN as I type on Wednesday. I'm counting FIVE snowfalls so far this year, Chris. Maybe we brought the snow from Kansas?

ABC Song

Adam is learning his ABCs. Sometimes, he just gets distracted midway through.
