Soccer

Here is Adam before his first soccer game. He's having fun - at the games at least. He does get offended when anyone takes the ball away from him. We're still working on the concept of soccer being a GAME!

Rice

Sometimes a baby is tired after a filling meal of rice on the go.

Freedom Walk

Adam's school held a Freedom Walk to commemorate September 11. The kids decorated flags (although they randomly distributed them - that's not the flag that Adam colored).

Then we walked around the school. This is one of the few events that younger siblings were invited to, so we took advantage. Adam held his sister's hand the entire time.

Sam Antonio

We took a quick weekend trip to San Antonio (or Sam Antonio to Adam) to see the dinosaur exhibit at the Witte Museum. We stopped for lunch at Taco Cabana first. Adam and Lottie approve.

Typical Lottie pose.

The biggest animatronic dinosaur was outside - the T Rex. This was about as close as Adam would get, since it actually moved and roared. But see, it's caged!

Dino attack!

Dino digging.

The Witte also has a great hands-on section and outside treehouse.

Experimenting with hydro power.

So happy we brought her to the museum.

Adam giving us the weather. Lottie is his sidekick.

Outlets

Even a trip to the outlets can be a good time when you get to check out some coin-operated rides.

Riding with Buzz! Lottie is thrilled.

First Day of School

Adam's first day of preschool was August 23. Adam was ready to go. Lottie had to jump in the picture.

Adam at his desk at school. Mr. Social enjoys school, and has an army of friends. In fact, where ever we go, he runs into someone he knows. He is learning a lot, and is apparently very responsible and a good listener. At least he listens at school!

Chris's Birthday

On August 21, we celebrated Chris's birthday. It was also time for Gram and Bapa to head out. We got a few pictures first.

That night, it was time for pie. The kids had to help blow out the candle.

Then Adam decided to say a birthday wish. Which was really a birthday prayer. Nice either way.

Gram and Bapa's Visit

It's always exciting when Gram and Bapa come to visit. They always bring Sam too. He makes himself right at home. Sometimes, a dog's paws get cold and only a rug will do.

Bapa is always willing to play.

So is Sam. He is a much more accomodating horse than Nani.

Meet the Teacher

On August 19, we headed to Duncan Elementary so Adam could meet his Pre-K teacher. He was very excited to meet Miss Baker (a former U of H soccer player). Two weeks later, he was switched to another teacher when the school got money for an additional classroom. He really likes Miss Lagunero too, thank goodness. Someday I'll get a picture of them together.

Adam's desk.

Apple Cider

Conversation upon receiving glasses of apple cider:

Lottie: Look, Adam, it's apple spider juice!

Adam: No, Lottie, it's apple LIGHTER juice.

He then shook his head, because he's so much older and wiser than her.
